The Canal Tavern has a
colourful soul history,
kicking off in the early 80s and ending in the
late 90s.
Promoters during these two decades included Gary Welsh, Rod Dearlove and
Fish.
Lots of soulies hold fond memories of this venue.
'Boomerang' ~ featuring 60s & 70s soul
is a new soul
night at this venue and kicked off on Saturday 17th February 2007.
The soul night is still run in
the same function room
with a separate street entry on the side.
It's worth coming over extra early, as food is served in the
separate dining area of the pub (6pm-8:30pm)
